Louise Smith started acting with the Alcester Junior Drama club. After studying Performing Arts at Stratford Upon Avon College where she discovered her passion for comedy! Louise joined the Ullenhall Players in 2005 and memorable roles for Louise have been Minnie the Maid in Who Goes Bare and aging up quite a lot in that wig to play Rose in Business Affairs!

Martin Shuttleworth joined The Ullenhall Players in 1976 and, after a number of years performing in amateur productions, decided to turn unprofessional. Despite numerous requests from regular visitors to The Ullenhall Players productions, Martin has still appeared in just about every show the society has produced ever since and has brilliantly taken on a variety of character roles.

Jeff Gill has performed in a range of pantomimes, musicals and plays over the years, and once gained high acclaim for the part of a dead body for The Ullenhall Players in Out of Order. He’s not sure what that said for his acting ability but line-learning was a doddle!

Jacqui Jensen first joined the Ullenhall Players in 2000 for the pantomime Snow White when her legs were required to play principle boy. Jacqui continued to perform with the Players with It Runs in the Family where she caught the comedy bug and has enjoyed a variety of roles, wearing very few clothes being the underlying theme.

Alex Steward has been with The Ullenhall Players since 1993 and has appeared in many plays and pantomimes, portraying a variety of characters, her favourite being principal boy in Aladdin. She is also a stalwart of Alcester Operatic Society, having appeared in almost all of their musical productions since 1987.

Steve Brookes can normally be heard as a gardening presenter on BBC Radio and seen lecturing on cruise ships across the globe!  His very first acting role was at 15, when he played Peter Quince the Carpenter in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Royal Shakespeare Theatre. He joined The Ullenhall Players in 1984 when he played the genie in Aladdin - sprayed head to toe in gold paint! Steve is currently Chairman of The Players.

Pablo Raybould was singing and dancing at five – although he was subsequently told to sit down and be quiet by quarter to six. He has been with Ullenhall players for about twenty years as both an actor and director. Turning professional several years ago, he appears occasionally on TV, in commercials & usually a long run of pantomime at the end of each year.

Lynda Gill first caught the 'acting bug' when she took part in a drama festival at the age of 7 and has been with drama groups in Yorkshire, Devon and Hertfordshire ever since. She has been with The Ullenhall Players for the past 17 years and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment with the group.

Jenny Roberts was first involved with The Ullenhall Players over 20 years ago, tinkling the ivories for the annual pantomimes. Her unique musical improvisations have papered over the cracks of many shows! She has appeared in several plays, playing small, but vital character parts. Jenny has always longed to be the young, glamorous leading lady!

Dan Blizzard has been with The Ullenhall Players for 13 years. He has played a variety of parts since then. In fact on one occasion he actually bared all! You will be pleased, and relieved, to know that on this occasion Dan has been requested to keep his kit on.

Malcolm Steward joined The Ullenhall Players in his 30s (a very distant memory!) and has directed, as well as acted, for them. A member of both Stratford and Alcester Operatic Societies for many years, his favourite roles have been in Anything Goes and Cabaret. Although he has danced and sung his way through many shows, it is for his acting that he would prefer to be remembered!

Rachel Gill joined The Ullenhall Players at the age of 11 playing Alice in Alice in Wonderland. She is also a member of Alcester Operatic Society and has tread the boards at the RST for Stratford Operatic Society.

Neil Gardner first joined The Ullenhall Players in 2010 for their production of It Runs In the Family, in which, he played the part of Leslie Tate. He was also a member of the Palace Youth Theatre for 6 years, until he left in 2008, and has been a member of Birmingham’s Stage2 youth theatre company from 2004 to the present day and takes part in numerous productions and short film projects.
